The bikini season is getting closer (although here in Holland the cold does not seem to want to stop ...) and we know that, especially for women, this moment is a nightmare that is repeating every year. Suddenly we pay more attention to the calories we eat and we say no to sweet to arrive in the best shape possible to the long-awaited moment, or at least to fell less guilty.
Good morning my dear readers,
The bikini season is getting closer (although here in Holland the cold does not seem to want to stop ...) and we know that, especially for women, this moment is a nightmare that is repeating every year. Suddenly we pay more attention to the calories we eat and we say no to sweet to arrive in the best shape possible to the long-awaited moment, or at least to fell less guilty.

I love sbrisolona cake... it is so rustic and crispy... a delight. The best combination for me is a slice of sbrisolona dipped in hot chocolate ... the end of the world. Well, as I love so much this sweet, today I tried to create it in the light and vegan version, without butter. The result is fantastic, the cake is much lighter than the original, but the taste is fabulous and comparable. Obviously I enjoyed it with a cup of hot chocolate!
Good Sunday everyone!
This weekend, the sun shines in the Netherlands and the temperature is pleasant. So pleasant that we could have a coffee outside in front of the lake and enjoy the sun on our faces. Goodmorning everyone
The weekend continues to be sunny and bright here in Holland. It seems that the sky is tired of constantly snorting rain and cold wind and decided to take a break, allowing all a bit of warmth and the possibility of drying clothes on the balcony J. Today I am a bit excited and nervous, I do not know exactly why, maybe it's because tomorrow I have to leave for a business trip and this always makes me a bit nervous. I don’t like stray away from home without my boyfriends, I feel there is something missing and incomplete in what I do. Because of the trip, I decided to prepare some tasty snacks to bring with me and to eat during my trip in case of necessity. Goodmorning everyone! How are you?
Today in the Netherlands the sun is shining, although the day is cold. We went out this morning for a walk outdoors, trying to store as much as possible Vitamin D and then stopping to taste a cup of steaming coffee together with some delicious chocolates bought in a chocolate shop near here. I love the combination of coffee and chocolate ... I find it the best treat ever! Hello everyone!
Today, inspired by various cookbooks that I have at home, I experimented a new ingredient to make cookies: cous cous! I know it sounds strange and unlikely but I assure you that it is a fantastic ingredient that gives a delicious crispness to your biscuits and a rich flavor. I love these cookies for their crunchy texture, the soft jam heart and the sweet aroma of agave syrup. I've enjoyed them as a snack with a hot chocolate, but they are also perfect for breakfast or as treat after dinner. Hello everyone! With this cold weather and gray sky the ideal Sunday snack is a hot chocolate, thick and bitter as I like. Here I show you a quick and easy recipe to make a healthy hot chocolate without using the ready ones. Ingredients for a cup: a scant cup of vegetable milk (or vaccine if not vegan) 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa 1 cube of dark chocolate 2 teaspoons of potato starch Agave syrup to taste Method: Put on low heat a pan with the milk; add the cocoa stirring continuously in order to obtain a homogeneous liquid. When hot add the starch, stirring constantly. Gradually your chocolate should become thicker and thicker. At this stage it is important to keep stirring to prevent the starch to create lumps; if you like a very thick consistency you'll have to leave it on the heat longer and keep stirring (also adding a touch of starch if necessary). When you reach the consistency you like, add the cube of dark chocolate and let it melt well. Serve and sweeten with agave syrup. Enjoy! Hello everyone and Happy New Year!! how did you start this in 2016? I started it in a beautiful way, on the amazing island of Fuerteventura where I enjoyed a perfect temperature, good food and surf daily J
Now we are back in Holland and we resumed our daily routine and our healthy eating habits. In this post I will tell you about a tart made with pecans, the fruit of a plant native to the United States that I love for their rich and buttery flavor. Hello everyone!
Sorry for the long absence from the blog, but these weeks have been very stressful and we were often away during the weekends, in Portugal, where the temperature is mild and the sun is warm. Okay, tomorrow we have been invited by our friends for a lunch and I would love to bring a cake ... so today I could only practicing and try to make this simple and delicious pears and chocolate cake, with no butter and no eggs. The experiment came very well, so later I will make again this delight and I will bring it to my friends’ house tomorrow! Hello everyone! Today I propose you a salty recipe, a pie with my beloved artichokes. This recipe is delicious freshly made, but it is also amazing the day after, to bring to the office as take away lunch! Here I propose you a vegan version with tofu, but, instead of it, you can also use a creamy cheese like Ricotta.
Good morning everyone!
Today I want to share the recipe for this wonderful lemon delight. It's amazing how a simple apple pie become a fine dessert with only the addition of a delicate lemon cream that makes it rich and elegant. It is perfect for a tasty snack accompanied by a cup of tea or as a dessert after dinner. And obviously is butter free, eggs free and diary free. Goodmorning everyone
Today I want to share with you the recipe of my favorite soup that is the protagonist of many of my dinners in autumn and winter. The main ingredient is red lentils. This type of pulse has many beneficial properties: first of all they are rich in vegetable protein (20-22%), so it represents an alternative to animal protein. Hello everyone! I'm so proud of the recipe I am about to share with you ... an amazing cake rich and tasty, that will appeal to all, both omnivores and vegans. In our house lasted less than half a day ... absolutely the cake with the shortest life I've ever done!!
Good morning everyone!
Today I propose you a typical Italian sweet, from Tuscan tradition, made with chestnut flour. I like this cake because it's vegan and natural in itself, it does not require neither eggs, nor much sugar as the taste of chestnut flour is slightly sweet. It is also wonderfully simple and tasty, as the things that I like, with just few natural ingredients. |
