It is now a year and a half that I am following a natural diet and I can say that I feel the benefits of it. I feel good, rarely tired, I don’t have digestion problem or stomach problems. And then I find much more pleasure in food, I love all my dishes and I love to think that I am putting in my body only natural ingredients, unrefined. Of course every now and then one bad mistake can happen ... if my boyfriend has an ice cream or a slice of cake is almost sure that I steal him a little taste, but I know it is only for once and that my everyday diet is different and my body is used to appreciate the natural flavors.

It represents basically the starting point of my journey in the plant-based food world, and I need to say that it has been a nice and funny approach!
The book indeed is very well designed, with lot of pictures and easy explanations. I think that it is a proper starting point for people who don’t know much about the topic and would like to learn in an easy and funny way. My vision of food and alimentation changed a lot after having read it, I discovered so many things that I didn’t know neither imagine at all. I was really surprised and amused in discovering how food can influence so much our body! After having read the book I remember that I started to buy a lot of new ingredients and try for the first time new vegan recipes. Reading it has been a nice experience and I suggest it to everyone who wants to approach a plant-based, healthy lifestyle! Hello Everyone!
I am Azzurra, Italian girl living and working in the cold Netherland. This is the first time in my life that I start a Blog, so I am not really expert..but I've decided to try! I decided to start this because I like the idea to share with someone my passions. I actually have 2 big passions, healthy food and surf! Starting from the first, food has always played a big role in my life..not always positive unfortunately. I tried many times in my life to find a way to approach it but every time was difficult. Now is different, because I discover this new way of eating and considering food. My journey started 1 year ago when I read the book "The China Study" of Colin Campbell, which played an important role in my vision and approach to food; after that I read many other books on the topic and I searched many information on the web. I need to say that I learned a lot of things which I completly ignored before, and I think that most of the people ignore them too. From that moment I started to pay much more attention to some aspects of the food which before i did not consider, like the origin, the composition, the naturalness, rather than only calories and fats. I am now almost vegan, eating for me now is a joy because I know that the things i eat are extremely good for my body and they are nurturing it. I love cooking, I love creating new recipes, I love trying new ingredients, I love discovering the nutritional properties of the foods. Food is now a joy for me, and everyday I can't wait to cook something good and healthy. My second passion is surfing. I started surfing 1 year and half ago, and I think surfing is one of the most energizing thing one person could do. I love the energy i feel when I do it, I love the feelings when I am in the water with my board. Surfing for me means also beautiful places like Portugal and Bali, that's where my heart lies. Surfing for me means love, because my boyfriend taught me how to surf and now we do it togher. This is me in few words..I hope you will enjoy reading my blog! Azzurra |
